Our PhD candidate Dennis Trautwein has received the prestigious Applied Networking Research Prize awarded by the Internet Research Taskforce. The prize recognizes the best recent results in applied networking and interesting new research ideas with potential relevance to the Internet standards community. It also acknowledges up-and-coming individuals who are likely to have an impact on Internet standards and technologies.
Dennis received the award for the paper Design and Evaluation of IPFS: A Storage Layer for the Decentralized Web (Download PDF)
published at the ACM SIGCOMM Conference 2022.
The award includes:
• A cash prize of USD 1000
• An invited talk at the IRTF Open Meeting
• A travel grant to attend a week-long IETF meeting
